The winter storm is called Grayson and has the potential to become a hurricane. Residents of Saint Nicholas Avenue in Upper Manhattan believe there wasn’t enough time to prepare for the ” weather bomb .”
It was Thursday, January 4th, just after noon, when I walked down Saint Nicholas Avenue between 185th and 186th Streets . The neighborhood was waiting for the NYC Sanitation Department crews, who hadn’t started street sweeping in #WashingtonHeights by 7:00 p.m.
Winds roared like a lion loose in the neighborhood. And you lost sight a quarter mile ahead. Heavy snow and record low temperatures would bring the worse out of the so called Bomb Cyclone during the weekend.
